I really, really enjoyed this one! I sat down yesterday to read a little and basically read it from cover to cover in one afternoon. The story is just so beautifully written and the characters and their relationships are poignant and heartfelt. I didn't know a lot about what went on in the US during WWII, so I found that part to be especially interesting and sad. There are a few rather large mistakes throughout the book, one of the biggest being the fact that there were no Internet therapy group

Not as strong as I'd hoped it would be - too many parts feel as though they're written with the express intent of tweaking the reader's emotions rather than telling a plausible story. Henry and Keiko's maturity as pre-teens is probably the most jarring example.

Lovely story of two young lovers caught in the chaos of Japanese internment camps in the United States during WW II. I loved how the author wove Jazz music into the plot. The audio version was a superb adaptation.
