I'm utterly stymied by this book. I've had it on my to-be-read shelf forever and I'm glad I've finally read it. But what I feel about it is mostly confused.
I wonder how much of what I don't understand about this book is due to cultural differences between myself and the Japanese author and/or was lost in translation to English language. This is another book I would like to give 3 1/2 stars, 3 just doesn't seem to be enough and 4 is too much. This book deserves some serious time to put the thought necessary to get everything the author wants the reader to get out of it. Its perfect for a college lit class.
