What Members Thought
Love this book. Extremely surprising how much I enjoyed this. I took an AWESOME African American History class in Grad school. We were asked to read this..I was one of the only ones who loved it so. My professor was so stoked she asked me to teach it to the class. So I did! :) Fun.
I believe the only reason this is considered a great book is because it was considered anti-communist at the time of McCarthyism and Red scares. With the added dimension of authorship by a Black man.
