Very good book with a really interesting story behind it. (You can read about it here: http://www.npr.org/templates/story/st... )
I need to read it in less of a rush. The writing is beautiful and the story is interesting, although the story line is a bit too diffuse for my taste.
The description of the father's seizures and the grandfather's dementia are both amazing.
Hard to recommend because it's difficult to read; on the other hand, it's really very short, so it's not hard to hang in there long ...more

I would have really loved this book in college, especially if I had a chance to discuss it in class. I was interested in the changing perspectives of the main character and his father, but unfortunately, I don't have enough functioning brain cells right now to fully appreciate this book.

Stunningly beautiful. It made me think of Hemingway and that's the highest praise I give any book.
