Oh my STARS!!!!!!!! I am finally done -- thank GOD. This is the longest book in the history of mankind. It was good, but not good enough to read every single word. No one REALLY cares about EVERY SINGLE thought and EVERY SINGLE memory of EVERY SINGLE CHARACTER. OH MY GOD. I honestly skimmed the last 30 pages; I couldn't take it anymore. Bridge of Sighs is the latest installment in Richard Russo's unofficial small-town series. The story's geographic base is the once industrial, now carcinogenic town of Thomaston, New York. Ack, this is due back at the library this week and I still have about 400 pp to go....

Renewed it. Twice. Still couldn't quite get involved enough to finish it.

This is a well-written book. And I generally love looooonnnng novels. I just never got absorbed here.

This is a saga and another Russo I will have to return to over many months.

Finished on audio and truely loved the characters and the saga.

Another great epic book by Richard Russo, describing the life of 3 typical american families and how their lives entwined in each other.
