Oh my STARS!!!!!!!! I am finally done -- thank GOD. This is the longest book in the history of mankind. It was good, but not good enough to read every single word. No one REALLY cares about EVERY SINGLE thought and EVERY SINGLE memory of EVERY SINGLE CHARACTER. OH MY GOD. I honestly skimmed the last 30 pages; I couldn't take it anymore. I AM SO GLAD IT IS OVER.

Renewed it. Twice. Still couldn't quite get involved enough to finish it.

A very well written story of childhood friends in a small town and the ebbs and flows of friendship over 60 years. My first Richard Russo, but far from my last. I'll even read this one again.

Another great epic book by Richard Russo, describing the life of 3 typical american families and how their lives entwined in each other.

This book received great reviews. I honestly gave it a shot, but just couldn't even feign interest. Guess I'm out of step.
