My Dearest Peanut Butter,
I highly recommend a proper handkerchief and ensuring a loved one is available for the last quarter of the book. Please also be advised that it will not be pretty, feminine tears you cry, but giant crocodile tears accompanied by splotchy complexion, mucus and possibly even a bit of laughter. It was everything I hoped it'd be. Sustenance and weight between the pages, between the words, between the thoughts. I hope you enjoy the experience, but if you don't I'm still cert ...more

This book was sad. But it was really amazing. I think it may have changed my entire paradigm on life and death. I was reluctant to read it. I knew what it was about. I don't think many people like to talk about illness and death even though they are as prevalent as love and life. I know most people don't understand the art of being sick... the one afflicted with the terminal whatever. I think that most of us, myself included, hope we never have to experience it in our lives, whether first hand o

Despite the tumor-shrinking medical miracle that has bought her a few years, Hazel has never been anything but terminal, her final chapter inscribed upon diagnosis. But when a gorgeous plot twist named Augustus Waters suddenly appears at Cancer Kid Support Group, Hazel's story is about to be completely rewritten.

“I'm in love with you," he said quietly.
"Augustus," I said.
"I am," he said. He was staring at me, and I could see the corners of his eyes crinkling. "I'm in love with you, and I'm not in ...more

Okay, so to say a book changed my life is pretty serious business. This book, though, is serious. The Fault in Our Stars by John Green has changed my life. I couldn’t decide if it ruined me. Or fixed me. I’ve decided to go with fixed me. In all honesty, a series changed my life last year - Fifty Shades of Grey - seems strange, maybe, but it’s the truth. It opened me up to this whole other world of books, those independently published, prompted me to wr ...more

Let me just say i was fairly bored with this until it reached the middle.
Honestly this novel depressed me , i really couldnt stop crying for hours thinking about what they went through and the uncertainty of cancer free and it just coming back in your PET couple months later.
I felt so sad about Gus just writing this is bringing tears to my eyes. Its so hard to find love with cancer and then to loose it in the blink of an eye is just horrible.
It just depressed me and i cant give this book 5 stars ...more
