This is the first time I’ve truly been at a loss for words. What am I supposed to say? How can I do this book justice? Maybe tell you all that it was perfect? The best, most heartbreaking, hilarious book that has touched me like none other? Sure. I mean, it's been said countless times, in countless reviews, and you know what? They are absolutely, a hundred and fifty percent true.

I really prayed that this would not happen, but I'm sorry to say I am among the VERY FEW people who did not fall in love with this book.
After seeing all the rave reviews from 99% of my GR friends and having some of my close girlies tell me how amazing this book is, I was expecting to fall madly in love with this story.
I was ready for the UGLY CRY!!!!

About my rating: Let me start off by saying that although I loved the book, it wasn't as good as I though it would be. It's one of those cases where it's over exposure, high ratings and so many people rallying "best book ever" had my expectations completely off the charts. Now, just because it didn't meet my expectations doesn't mean I it deserves anything less than 5 stars.

Let me just start off by saying, the story tore my heart out. It did it's job, and that was capture my attention. The writing was beautiful, and I loved the characters in this book. Faced with so much trauma and troubles, and they're playing video games and worrying about relationships gone awry.

I simply adored Hazel and Augustus. They have got to be some of the strongest people I've come to know in my world of literacy.

5 starts seems like an insult for this absolute gem.

This totally amazing story of love, strength, courage and loss, made me reflect on my own life and how much we so easily take for granted.

I will remember this book forever.
Absolute perfection.
A must read for all, just sorry I never read it sooner.

I don't even know if I can find the words to even review this book. It is nothing like I expected but I am not disappointed. This isn't like anything I typically read. I am use to happily ever afters. To two people falling in love and walking off into the sunset together..

Thank god for this book. It helps bring us back to earth and remember that life isn't always one big happily ever after. Sometimes it downright sucks and hurts and there isn't a damn thing we can do about it. Cancer is a bitch ...more
