I just feel...shattered and broken and so confused. Why, Javier? What is happening?

I'm not sure in what universe any reader could read this as a stand alone...that was the biggest cliffie ever aside from the one on Sins and Needles. And oh, boy, did this affect me waaaay more than I thought it would. I read Sins and Needles first, just fyi, so I had a vague idea of Javier and Ellie's (errr, Eden's) past.

Karina Halle proves once again that she is an awsome author in this sexy and powerful novella about con artist Ellie aka Eden and druglord Javier. I loved this little novella unbelievable much!!! It's always more fun to love the bad boy. This book was better then a box with my favorite chocolate

Wow. That just hurt my heart. I seriously can't seem to shake the lump that is still in my throat.

Going into this, I didn't want to read this book. I had my mind made up about Javier. He was a bad guy, bad for Ellie, and I didn't want to be swayed. I didn't see the point of the story. What could possibly be gained by learning more about Ellie and Javier's relationship?

What can I say about this book? For starters, I loved it!! I liked seeing a different side of Ellie. Although I am all for her badass, I don't need anyone, attitude...it was refreshing to see that she is capable of love. I needed to see that because I was questioning if she even had it in her!

On every street is the prelude to the artists trilogy.
I confess I didn't read the blurb nor the reviews nor the first book that was released before this little novella

But this is a story on itself. The authors manner of narration is so gripping it has literally sucked me into Ellie Watts world and the situations she finds herself, the emotions she projects and hides and the decisions she makes.
