Fear of Falling...WOW!! This book was a story of pain, heartbreak, love, overcoming fear, abuse, healing, and hope. I fell in love with all the characters because they felt real and raw. This book was beautifully well written..Thank you S.L. Stephens!!

Kami experiences emotional, physical and psychological abuse Fear of Falling...WOW!! This book was a story of pain, heartbreak, love, overcoming fear, abuse, healing, and hope. Kami experiences emotional, physical and psychological abuse and pain. For 23 years, she let her fears immobilized and define her life. She copes with the help of her roommates Dom and Angel. When Kami meets Blaine, she feels safe. Blaine breaks down the walls that Kami has built surrounding her heart. He allows her to feel love and makes her realize that she is not broken. He gives her hope, strength, and love. I love that we could see and feel the emotional journey Kami experiences to finally heal and be complete.

Seriously, I love Blaine. He is determined, sweet and know what he wants. He is a real life Knight in Shining Armor. When he meets Kami, he realizes that he has his work cut out for him, but knows she is worth it. LOVE LOVE the epilogue, so happy that Blaine and Kami gets their happily ever after.

Fear of Falling is another story that grips your heart and leaves you all tingly inside.
It's a story about a broken girl Kami, who panickly avoids all, even slightly resembling romantic interactions.

"I would always be a nervous fucking wreck, successfully ruining any hopes of a normal relationship."

Is that a matter of being prude?
Not at all...

Kami, is a runaway with so many ghosts of the past that the saying "counting your blessings" takes a totally new meaning.

This one was a little hard for me..
Domestic violence past tense or present can be tough to read about but S.L did a great job with this.

Personal experience I think let me feel a bit more of what Kami was feeling, her living her life in fear. It's something that unless you have dealt with it you can't fully put yourself in a person like hers shoes. I could and it made me love the book all that much more!

I absolutely loved Blaine, he was this hot tattooed bartender/owner of a bar but was sensitive, loving, caring and understanding. Then you have this emotionally scarred girl named Kami who at times I just wanted to slap, but totally empathized with what/how she was feeling. She had never experienced love and it was completely foreign to her so she fought against her emotions the entire book. Overall I thought the story was believable and of course I'm a sucker for a fairy tale ending. ...more
