Insta-love. Super doofy character names (I'm talking to you too, Butch!). Cheesy romance. Predictable plot. This book is a recipe for a complete disaster. But, I f'ing loved it. I pretty much now have a girl crush on J.R. Ward. I loved Wrath and Beth. I loved Butch and Marissa. I loved how the "lover spats" were quickly resolved and not drawn our for the majority of the book. I loved all of the brothers. wish we could give half stars.. this is a solid 3.5 star

So.. I have been divided about the series… I have heard (read) a lot of praise and commendation for the brothers and then most importantly the author. On the other hand, the criticism was also prominent. I was truly torn.

I wasn’t tremendously impressed at the start. But warmed up to it towards the middle and loved it to the end. The brothers were loyal and intimidating and downright pure sex.. but I must say, I was expecting the sex to hav wish we could give half stars.. this is a solid 3.5 star

Beth.. Oh Beth… Unknown to her, she is a half human, half vampire and is in need of “protecting”. Her father (Darius, a brotherhood member), goes to Wrath to ask him for protection which he denies at first. I enjoyed Beth. I found her genuine, strong emotionally, loving, caring and the woman has the possibility of kicking your ass when needed.

But Wrath was incredible and he stole this book.. Wrath, the last purebred vampire, king and leader of the Brothers is sexy, muscled, tortured, protective, badass, and huge! Out of respect for his fallen brother, Wrath tries to fulfill his responsibility of taking care of Darius’s daughter through her transition. That’s when Wrath realizes that he cannot stay away from Beth, and his protective instinct and jealously is through the roof.

"Damn, leelan. I love you so much I'm scaring the crap out of myself." When she pressed her lips to his, he put his hand on her neck, holding her in place. "I don't think I can live without you."

Side note : I find Zadist very complex and would definitely get to know about him.

I rarely ever (well, just about never...) take the time to review book but I just couldnt' help myself with this one. If you love a supernatural element and love reading about phenomenal love affairs and friendships with action threaded throughout then don't miss out on this one.
