I'm going to keep this short and to the point. I ABSOLUTELY LOVE The Black Dagger Brotherhood. I cannot wait to learn more about these complex Vampires and their back stories. I am literally kicking myself in the bum for not starting these sooner. Wrath and Beth were absolutely wonderful. I loved that Beth was a smart, fierce, and take no crap type of heroine. I want to read this book so fucking badly, I've probably read the first chapter some 5 times, but it never grips on; I get confused and I always leave it, thinking I'll come back to it again.

And when I do, AGAIN, I can't read it. Its horrible how badly I want to read it, but can't! GAH. :| ...more

I started Dark Lover, book #1 in the Black Dagger Brotherhood Series over two years ago and made it through a few chapters before having to put the book down for reasons I can't even remember now. Damn... just damn! I wish I wouldn't have waited so long to read this. It was nothing like I expected.

I loved Beth, hands down one of the best lead characters I have read in a long time. She was just the epitome of graciousness. From the begging to the end of the book I loved her character, she didn't piss me of not a one time, and that's saying something. Same with Wrath, holy freakin swooooooonnnnnn. Jason Momoa YUP! He makes me think of the saying "the bigger they are the harder they fall".

This was ok. Not a fan of instant love connections (which this clearly had) and I wasn't head over heels for Wrath. He's cool, but he wasn't doing much for me.
