I guess one could call this a classic paranormal romance...back from the days of flipper cell phones and calling a cab rather than an Uber.
A fun read if you like this genre, which I do! So much so, in fact, that I put all my reading challenges challenge aside again and jumped into the next book in the series, Lover Eternal. I usually read historical fiction but after reading so many reviews for the BDB series decided to venture into the world of paranormal romance. I liked this book well enough to continue with the series and found myself sucked right in and have since read every book written by J. R. Ward. What a great way to start off the series!! This series has been on the smut-e-teers, buddy reads for some time now, and we are all kicking out selves in the ass for waiting so long. But all good things come to those to wait...or something right? Wow I have nothing to say but good things about how exciting this book was. Well...after years of being in my TBR list..I finally gave in..and I'm glad I did

I love the characters already...I think Wrath & Beth were PERFECT...just felt like it was a lil' too rushed.....she accepted the whole "vampire" thing too quickly...

Besides that...the whole story line is perfect can wait to dive in deeper into the BDB World....

Can't wait for Rhage's story next!!!!! ...more

Just realised it has been over a week and I have yet to post a review on this book, so I thought I better get down to it.

Dark Lover was nothing at all what I was expecting. To understand my expectations you have to realise that I came across this series by exploring the 'erotic romance' genre on goodreads, and this series was shown to be 'popular' in that genre.
