I 100% agree and understand why people say they have a love/hate relationship with this book!

First off, I really, really disliked Kiera…
From the start --- she was naïve and way to awkward! She thought everything was gross or nasty or too sexy! That bothered me … if she had more of an edge to her personality we would have gotten along just fine. But it seemed to be her passion and fire was only apparent when she was with Kellan ---

THis book was good, but not great. To me I thought the choice Kiera should have made was pretty clear. First of all she had it right on from the very beginning. Denny said she was his heart, but you don't leave your heart behind. He clearly chose his job over her repeatedly. She gave up everything to move to Seattle with him and he leaves her there knowing no one without even discussing it with her. Then in comes Kellan. Kiera and Kellan tried to keep it innocent. I really don't think they did anything wrong in the beginning. Yeah, they slept together, but it wasn't until after she told Denny it was over. They didn't know he would suddenly leave his dream job and come back to her. She should have told Denny right then and there and her and Kellan, but I understand why she didn't. Denny gave up everything to come back to her. I think she felt like she was ruining his life and she owed it to him to stay with him for that. I also think she didn't want to admit to herself that there were real feeling with Kellan because it was new and scary, where as Denny was safe, familiar and predictable. I still don't know if Kiera and Kellans relationship would've been full of trust even if she did break it off with Denny in the beginning. Kellan's past would've come out eventually. She maynot have witnessed it, but I think with her insecurity just knowing about it would've put enough doubt in her mind. I can't wait to see what happens in book two and three.

I saw a comment on this scene in another review and I wanted to share my opinion on it as well because this scene probably pissed me off the most. (view spoiler)

This review is slightly complicated for me because there were parts I loved and parts I didn't at times. Luckily the parts I loved HIGHLY overshadowed the parts I didn't! Technically, if I had the option, I'd give it 4.5 stars overall, but I have no issue giving the 5 stars out of sheer respect for the story. Holy turmoil and a half! I absolutely loved this book! From the very beginning I was always team Kellan. The way that this story revolved around Kira and Kellan and Denny was an amazing way. I loved how the plot unfolded, and I was very surprised at some of the actions that happened in this book. My heart bled for Kira the entire book though because it is a horrible feeling to love someone and then fall madly in love with some one else on top of the first love interest. Great book!

After reading this for the first time I was sure how I felt about the characters, but now rereading I am so torn!! I love Kellan but who is really at fault here....love this triangle and can not wait to read Reckless tomorrow!
