I have finally finished this book and I have to say that it was a bittersweet book for me. I became very absorbed in this story from the start and my emotions were all over the place. The cheating in this book really left me with a sour taste in my mouth, and I had a very hard time enjoying any romantic encounters between Keira and Kellan for that very reason. How can I feel good about them "making love" to each other when Keira's boyfriend Denny is fast asleep in the other room? I didn't like t I have finally finished this book and I have to say that it was a bittersweet book for me. I became very absorbed in this story from the start and my emotions were all over the place. The cheating in this book really left me with a sour taste in my mouth, and I had a very hard time enjoying any romantic encounters between Keira and Kellan for that very reason. How can I feel good about them "making love" to each other when Keira's boyfriend Denny is fast asleep in the other room? I didn't like that at all and quite frankly Keira just pissed me off so much that by the end of the book I lost all sympathy for her and I was hoping both guys would just slap her and leave her. She spent the majority of the book leading them both on. She wanted the best of both worlds and to not have to make a decision and expected Kellan to just go along with her. She kept asking him to give her "time" before she would break it off with Denny. I figured that once Kellan had poured out his feelings of undying love for her, and explained how he had never loved before and never felt love by anyone, that she would for sure own up to her feelings and leave Denny. Even then she didn't and my heart broke for Kellan and I felt he deserved the same kind of devotion back; which she just wasn't willing to give in. I just feel that she was unfair to the guys and really I am in the dark as to why they even loved her in the first place.
I am really hoping that in the next book she redeems herself, but I am afraid that I have my doubts. I will say that the sex scenes between her and Kellan were Off the charts HOT!! I am not kidding, they were smoking hot, and I could feel the connection they had between each other.
I battled with giving this book a four or five stars, but in the end I gave a four because I just felt there was too much of the same "theme" going on for so much of the book that it got to be irritating and repetative. Basically, a lot of Keira and Kellan fighting their attraction for one another and then when they give in the guilt comes for them hurting Denny...
All in all, I did enjoy the book and felt that SC Stephens did a spectacular job with her writing. I will for sure be looking out for any upcoming books that she puts out, I just am really turned off of "love triangles" for awhile and after reading this book I am definately emotionally drained and need time to recover before I dive into "Effortless." ...more

I read this series in May, after it was recommended to me through iBooks. I had just finished Fifty Shades & Beautiful Disaster. I had both books complete in about 2 days - I was literally so sucked in! I must admit I was skeptical to read them, because to me, it's hard to relate to a cheater, and I wasn't even sure the subject matter would be one I was interested in entertaining the thought of reading. I heard about Thoughless through all the hype going on goodreads. I was really looking forward to read this because I heard that the boy was a lead singer in a band, and what's not to love about that. If someone had told me prior reading that this book involves cheating, I would not have read it. The one thing I hate is when people cheat in a relationship. In this book, it wasn't just once, it was throughout the story, and I just couldn't look past it.

The main characters involve Kellan (the lov I heard about Thoughless through all the hype going on goodreads. I was really looking forward to read this because I heard that the boy was a lead singer in a band, and what's not to love about that. If someone had told me prior reading that this book involves cheating, I would not have read it. The one thing I hate is when people cheat in a relationship. In this book, it wasn't just once, it was throughout the story, and I just couldn't look past it.

The main characters involve Kellan (the love interest), Keira (the cheater), and Denny (the boyfriend). I liked Kellan. His emotions felt real, and I was so pissed at how Keira treated him like a worthless person. I know he is part-faulty for cheating but what is he suppose to do when the girl is literally begging him to do it. On the other side, Denny was such a sweetheart, he was so loving & selfless, and even left his job for Keira. Both the guys were absolutely perfect but that does not mean one (thats you Keira) gets to play with their feelings. Keira was a selfish bitch of the story. She wasn't interesting enough in the beginning and what she did afterwards made me hate her even more.

Sometimes people find the one while they are in a relationship with someone else. Thats okay, just break up from one guy before you make a move with another. Not like Keira where you can't even make up your damn mind, and fucks both of them the same time. It was ridiculous of how she acted. I mean your boyfriend is gonna find out sooner or later, so why are you making the situation even worst than it is. I'm not even gonna start with the ending because it was just unrealistic. The other thing I don't like about this book was the extremely descriptive writing. The beginning was so streched that I had to skip parts to get to the point. Also, what kind of college is Keira attending where she needs only 3 classes a semster, and what kind of a degree is she going to get?

I don't know why people like this book so much. For me, it was long, boring, dragging, and one of the worst books I've read. I would not recommend it. Need I say, I will not continue this series. ...more

Shelves: series, sexy-rockstar, read-more-than-once

I liked the book but a little frustrated when the main character kept repeating the same thing over and over agin. I wanted to jump in the book and shake her. And if frustrated me that the guys put up with her.
I read this for the second time in prep for Reckless. As much as Kiera drove me nuts I still love this series. I am bumping up my stars to 4. Can't wait to read Reckless!!! ...more
