This must be one of my most difficult review to write as I am filled with all the opposite emotions, well I guess my updates says a lot on how review is gonna be! LMAO

Since I tortured myself reading this book until 50% ( just for the sake a hope that I will love it) and the remaining 50% skimming thru, I better make my review worth while!!!

This book was a total pleasant surprise for me. I went into it quite blind, I was careful with what reviews I read, and really did not know what I was getting myself into. I will admit that the first 30% or so, I was feeling unsure I was going to like it. Mainly because Ellie was someone who I just couldn't sympathize with. Yes, she was a product of her environment growing up; but I'm a firm believer that once we grow up we make our own choices and can no longer blame our pasts for who we are. I This book was a total pleasant surprise for me. I went into it quite blind, I was careful with what reviews I read, and really did not know what I was getting myself into. I will admit that the first 30% or so, I was feeling unsure I was going to like it. Mainly because Ellie was someone who I just couldn't sympathize with. Yes, she was a product of her environment growing up; but I'm a firm believer that once we grow up we make our own choices and can no longer blame our pasts for who we are. I felt like she justified conning people, and wasn't willing to truly better herself. Karma can be a bitch sometimes, and this time Karma came to her in the name of Camden McQueen. Gosh, I so fell in love with him. He is my ultimate hero, with his hot outer appearance but mainly for who he is on the inside. His story of his past broke my heart. I loved though how he refused to let his father define him, and he rose above all of the negativity and created his own peace and happiness. He wasn't perfect; but down to his core he was a kind, sensitive, and loyal man.
Once Ellie and Camden began to work together, the book really began to pick up for me. I became glued to my e-reader and was sucked right into the storyline. I felt that Camden had such a romantic soul, and some of the things that came out of his mouth literally gave me butterflies in my stomach.

Javier is the so-called "bad guy" in this story; but I am a little intrigued by him and I'm looking forward to his story. At this point, I am not fond of this dude at all and he basically gives me the creeps. There are people rooting for Javier though, so I will keep an open mind as I go further in this series to see what he will bring to the table.

I have to say that once again I have fallen in love with another book written by Karina Halle. I have decided that anything she writes, I am going to love. She is just that good. She weaves such an entertaining tale, and I just am never sure what turn she will take next. She keeps me on my toes, and puts smiles on my face with each and every book she writes. I am biting my nails waiting for book two in this adventerous series, it is pre-odered and I can't wait until midnight on the 20th! ...more

Oh my... this book is so good! I absolutely LOVED Sins & Needles! I cannot wait to devour the rest of this series! I couldn't put this book down. I loved how the storyline got deeper and deeper the more you read. I don't exactly know how I feel about all the characters yet, but I do know they are very interesting. This was brilliant ! A super thriller, runaway con artist romance with tons of angst and chills and goosebumps and magic slipping its way into your mind. I don't know what more to add in words.
