I just love Rush he is so amazing with Blaire. He is so perfectly put together but when it comes to her he is a complete mess, which I loved. Poor guy was trying so hard to make everything work and the world was at odds with his desires, everything he seemed to do backfired on him. It was cute, and heart wrenching at times. These .2. 3 stars were my being generous!
2nd read, Feb. 2025...& and I am still.
I realize what attracts me to this silly NA story, where Rush, the fine ass hero grovels and tries not to mess up for the the next two books, is the fact that he is gaga over her, overprotective (SANS his blindside when it comes to his family), and he and blaire make a cocoon of hot gooeyness when they are in their own bubble.

I didn't love it...but I didn't hate it either. I guess I was expecting alot more since I enjoyed the first book so much.

I felt like there wasn't any plot to this book. It was more of the same...Rush trying to get Blaire back, Blaire unsure of Rush's commitment...they were going in circles. Blaire's insecurities bothered me and Rush's decisions REALLY bothered me! (view spoiler) I didn't love it...but I didn't hate it either. I guess I was expecting alot more since I enjoyed the first book so much.

I felt like there wasn't any plot to this book. It was more of the same...Rush trying to get Blaire back, Blaire unsure of Rush's commitment...they were going in circles. The intimate scenes were awkward...only because one minute Blaire is trying to keep her distance, then the next, she's throwing herself on him (view spoiler). I thought it was also funny how Rush didn't want to push her but then he's somehow always managing to cop a feel.

And the ending just didn't feel like an ending...I was hoping for more closure with Cain, Nan, Rush's mom, (view spoiler). Plus, it ended with Blaire and Rush being ok, but with everyone else being unresolved, something can easily happen to cause another rift between them. I also wanted to see more of Blaire and her dad...after I read the scene between them, I thought to myself, that was it?!?

But I really gravitated towards Woods and Grant in the book. Woods felt like the only other person Blaire could turn to and rely on (besides Bethy) and there was no alterior motive (I think). And Grant, what can I say? I loved him in the first book too and he always seemed to be keeping everyone calm. (view spoiler)

Bethy was a godsend for Blaire. Loved her and how she didn't care what people thought about what came out of her mouth. I hope Blaire learns a thing or two from her! :) ...more

After waiting for months for the release of this book I felt cheated and disappointed.

Blaire seemed to have changed her personality, gone was the girl who looked after her ill mother and took care of herself. Everyone seemed to take the role of her protector, Cain, his grandmother, Bethy, Woods, Rush, the list goes on.

I felt confused with Cain, I thought the guy genuinely wanted her back in his life and his actions just baffled me. There wasn't an explanation for it just maybe a ...more

Loved the book but ...... Spoiler alert......I hated that Rush left her for 8 days and didn't even call her or text her!! Yes he made sure Graham checked on her and Woods checked on her but really other then buying her shit what did he do for her emotionally during her pregnancy... he finally made the 3rd Dr. appt! He just messing up time and time again and she just took it! She never told him off just one good time ..she was like oh ok ..lets screw now! Did he tell Nan anything about making Bla ...more

I ADORE Abbi Glines and the way she writes all these hot southern boys! She makes me want to actually visit Alabama, and Rush Finlay is no exception!! The sex scenes were smokin' HOT, and goodness gracious does he like to "go down" a lot (applause)!! The story sucked me in right from the start with drama and anticipation. I love this book and I absolutely love Rush! I was getting really nervous there at the end and I wanted to scream at Blaire! But they worked it out and I hope there is more to come!
