I didn't want this story to end! I literally read slower during the last part of the book to prolong it. That's how good it was.
It involves issues/triggers of cutting, infidelity and PTSD, as well as some things that would upset some readers such as depression that revolves around feeling trapped as a mother, and making sacrifices and giving up your own dreams and ambitions to be in a place where you don't necessarily want to be. Let me just start by saying I absolutely loved this book. It is one of the BEST books I have read this year. I loved it because it seemed real. It was something that you could relate to real life. Natalie's struggles throughout the book were heartbreaking because it seemed like she was facing one heartache after another and her only coping mechanism was cutting. This book was emotional in every way. In the Stillness is definitely a must read book.

when I read the blurb on this, I was worried it would be too depressing. big mistake!!! All the emotions and tears are completely worthy.
