Once I started this book I could not put it down until I was finished! I liked Molly McAdam's first book Taking Chances but LOVED From Ashes!

It tugs on your hearts strings the entire book so be prepared to go from wanting to rip your hair out to being on the verge of tears to not being able to control the huge grin on your face.

Molly McAdams has once again written an awesome book that you can't put down until the end. Complicated characters and situations give her books that little extra something that seperates it from every other "romance" novel. Unlike in Taking Chances there isn't that heartbreaking whiplash effect and I felt this book was more succinct, as well. I absolutely cannot wait to read more from this author! ...more

Hot Damn! I need to find myself a southern man!

Let me clear the air by saying that whatever the cover suggest, From Ashes by Molly McAdams does not have any kind of cheating involved, and that was one of my biggest concern reading this story. I'm so, so happy after finishing it, the story ends at a very positive note, and it is such a good learning experience. Let me clear the air by saying that whatever the cover suggest, From Ashes by Molly McAdams does not have any kind of cheating involved, and that was one of my biggest concern reading this story. I'm so, so happy after finishing it, the story ends at a very positive note, and it is such a good learning experience. Initially, it reminded me of Because of Low, just because how the characters were acting, but From Ashes is much more serious and emotional book. It has plenty of steamy & swoon-wothy scenes, but we also get to see an insight into the abusers life, and more importantly the after effects and the coping process.

From Ashes sounds like a tear-jerker book, but it is not. I never once cried reading it, the best thing about this book was that it was focused more on the positive aspect rather than the reliving or rehashing the abusive part. It was more of moving on, and happy ending kind of a book, the process was painful though. Cassidy has been abused physically by the parents for 12 years, and the only stable person in her life was Tyler, her rock. After she turned 18, they both move to Austin, texas to live with Tyler's cousin, Gage. Then all the fun began.

Gage is THE PERFECT Gentleman. He is so polite yet so freaking hot the next moment. I loved that he took stand when need, and didn't force anything. He's definitely a catch. Gage & Cassidy have an insta attraction, but none of them acted towards it for a very long time. Part of the reason for the delay was Tyler, and I get the connection Cassidy has with him because he's always been there for her, but I just wished he never existed in the picture. I hate him so much (Read the book, and you might feel the same way). People like him are coward, and attention seeker, I just wanted to smack him tightly for what he did in the beginning. He was disgusting. That's all.

Cassidy is so strong, and I applaud her for going through the horror, and turning up so positive. With positive, it doesn't mean she was all happy & haha, it means that she didn't let that thing cloud her judgement or disorient her in any way. She was a good person, and I loved that she found Gage. They were so perfect together, there were moments where I felt that they should talk about everything, and don't let a simple misunderstanding get between them, but they, its life, those things happens. And his family was so loving, it doesn't get better than that. Gage is a romantic, and he proved that part in the end. The last 20% or so was my favorite, and I was like reading a full on romance novel.

I'm so freaking happy to have found this book. Normally I don't read books with series issues because it breaks my heart, but From Ashes made me happy, and gave me hope. I loved it so much! Everyone needs to read this book, it is a little long, but so worth your time. Molly Adams is me new favorite author, and I can't wait to read more by her.

I have read alot of books and i just want to reread it already I loved this book ty and cassidy such a strong bond and gage and cassidy wow they are awesome I found it hot, loving, beautiful, sad but again just beautiful. I love gage so sweet and caring and giving go find out yourself pick it up and read it now!!!! :)♥♥♥♥♥♥

Great book! I had to stop a couple of times because I would get so caught with the story that I would be crying or wanting to fight one of th characters in the book. Another great book Molly!
