As with any series that I plan to continue, I stop reading the blurb for the next book after I'm done with book one. And since I dived in the dark with this one, the jaw-drop happened fairly early. Within a few pages I was filled with thoughts of "who-the-hell-is-Roger" to "why-is-Claire-in-the-present" to "BRIANNA-WHAT" and the urgency to find out what happened "in-between." Serves me right for asking for more drama.

First of all. Amazon, fix your stuff. This book as listed as 148 pages, when in reality it is well over 700...
I had a much easier time getting through this book, than I did the first 30% of the first book. However, this book did have a few moments where I was a little bored, it didn't have all the action that the first book did for the first few chapters, but when it started.. It started

Finally finished Dragonfly in Amber! It's taken me since August to read as its a huge book and I tend to read other books in between. However, despite the embarrassing length of time it has taken me to read, this book is AMAZING!
My only problem is, I watched season 1 on TV after reading Outlander and now I can only picture Sam Heughan and Catriona Balfe! I guess there could be worse things than always picturing Sam as Jamie Fraser ...more

Claire drove me insane, but my love for Jamie tops it all. I can't give it any less than four stars no matter how angry I was while reading this. And I was livid. :)

Ugh! I can't even. I don't read historical. So, the fact that I'm devouring these shows the amazingly well written prose and engaging ability of the storyline. I'm just so enamored with everything about this.
