I really enjoyed this one, it was gritty, hot, and full of sexual tension. Ruger and Noah moments were some of my favorite.

What I didn't love...
I didn't really feel the love connection between Sophie and Ruger, especially on Sophie's part. Really it just felt like her lady bits wanted Ruger. I would have liked to see more of an emotional connection, but I will live.

Overall, it was a fun read. I liked it a lot. And, I am really interested to see where Em and Hunter's story ...more

Read in one sitting, could not put it down!! Loved Ruger and Sophie were hot! I loved watching these two figure out their crazy complicated life as a couple. Holy shit on a stick. That was…unprecedented.

Ahhhh, Ms. Joanna Wylde. I just couldn’t resist reading this. I waited a long ass time for the next book in your Reapers’ Series. After I read Reaper’s Property, I craved the next book. You so did not disappoint me with this. It was exactly what I wanted and it certainly brought me out of my book funk. So for that, I thank you!

was annoying, I felt like screaming at her, firstly, she don't know speak to the only biker has been caring for her and her son. Secondly, I just wanted to accept her feelings and get on with it instead of pushing him again and again.

Of course, him "keeping it in his pants" thing was a deal-breaker but she would have dealt the issue in a better manner.

The story begins eight years prior when Ruger and Sophie first meet. Just as the synopsis states, Sophie gives birth to Noah, Ruger’s nephew, and Ruger is the only male influence in Noah’s life. He watches over them even after Sophie leaves town, making sure they have security and are well taken care of from a distance. Fast forward seven years to an unthinkable situation, when seven-year old Noah is placed in danger. One phone call and Ruger is there, bringing Horse along for backup. The sexual tension between Ruger and Sophie is volatile, and their history keeps the reader guessing as to what really happened between these two in the past.

Ruger is gritty, raw, and an alpha man-whore to the bone. He doesn’t lie and makes no promises to women about commitments, and that includes Sophie. But when it comes to Noah, Ruger is all about commitment, as the bond between the two was forged at Noah’s birth. Covered in tattoos – and each one of them is so poignant – big, bad, alpha biker Ruger isn’t exactly the role model Sophie wants for Noah. Ruger and Sophie have an intense relationship. He fought his attraction to Sophie as hard as he could, until he couldn’t fight it any longer. Neither of them want to cross a boundary, but both have difficulty fighting the lust that hangs between them for each other. Not for lack of trying to keep their distance from each other for Noah’s sake, it’s futile as the sexual tension continues to rise. Ruger is a strong force in the club, but that man becomes a weakling when it comes to his want of Sophie, letting his lust cross the line that was drawn in the sand.

I really loved Ruger….until he ticked me off. He was so unpredictable and contradictory. At one point, he would have me (and Sophie) melting into a puddle on the floor and just as quickly as flipping a switch, he would have me angry enough to strangle him. I know exactly what Sophie was feeling, because I felt it, too. But one thing is for certain. This man had Sophie’s back, and when things came to a head, he tried his best to give Sophie what she thought she wanted….space.

Sophie is one strong female. I was so impressed with this woman, this survivor. This young single mother at twenty-three can hold her own. She proves that time and again when she is placed in danger and with her horrible past. Her biggest fault is becoming puddy in Ruger’s hands. She melts completely when Ruger is near her, but in fairness to Sophie, so would I. ;) Unfortunately, Sophie isn’t familiar with motorcycle clubs and doesn’t understand, nor recognize when a biker is trouble. Her judgement isn’t always the best, and she’s made some poor choices, including her judgment of the club and its members. All she wants is normalcy…normalcy by society’s standards, and that is not a motorcycle club in her opinion. I saw tremendous growth in Sophie’s strength and character, thanks to Ruger, and over time, she learns that normalcy she thinks she wants and the normalcy she desires are different things.

The Reaper’s and Devil’s Jacks are butting heads again in this installment but with a different feel. The possibility of truce lingers between them as the Cartel threatens to move in on their territories, but old wounds haven’t healed and past sins aren’t forgotten…or forgiven. The threat of war becomes a reality and the truce may be quickly forgotten when the angst kicks up as Sophie and Em fall to danger. My heart pounded a time or two, but these women are strong. If ever they were doubted, they showed just as much grit as the men in their “family” when they fight for their own survival.

Action packed, blistering, explosive, and passionate, Reaper’s Legacy will have your adrenaline pumping one second and your body melting the next. I felt as though I was among family and had gone home for a visit with the characters in this series. While this book is the second in the Reaper’s MC Series, it can easily be read as a stand alone. With Devil’s Game a few months away, I am eager to reunite with my fictional MC family and see just where Hunter and Em will take me, because I just know THAT book will be detonative!!

It absolutely pains me to give this book less than a 4 stars but I am going to give it a 3.5 star rating. Ugh, I know. Totally not cool.

So here is the deal: I loved Reaper's Property and sat like a ticking time bomb waiting for Reaper's Legacy. I reread Book 1 right before book 2 came out just so I would be in the groove. This was an ok read. If you like motorcycle gang men with completely hypocritical views and want something light and quick. I think this book just wasn't my thing. I do in fact, like motorcycle gang men, but I need drama that I can feel and unfortunately even in the drama parts of the story, I didn't feel it. I did really like Ruger and how he was always there for Sophie. I think this would be a good book for people who aren't into real drama and angst. ...more

I'd started reading this one, put it down and then just recently finished it up. It ended much better than I remember it beginning, and then lagging in the middle.

I've tended to finish the reads in this series automatically thinking "3 stars", at least. IDK what it is, but I don't feel the 4 stars.
