Great, great, great book, very complex, with the plague, and the pilot, and all 3 POV's, and just a very wonderful ending to a great series! Can't wait to see what Ally Condie writes next!

Hmm. There is no doubt that Ally Condie writes beautifully. But I would be lying if I didn't say I was just a little bored. Part of the problem is that this book centers on finding the cure for a plague epidemic. Most of the talk is about the plague, the symptoms of the plague, how the plague mutated, how the plague spread, how someone is immune to the plague, etc etc. Instead of focusing on what the first book was about: freedom of choice and the freedom to love who you choose. This series started off so strong. I absolutely loved Matched! It was one of my favourite reads in 2011. I really enjoyed Crossed but felt it wasn’t as good as its predecessor. I had high hopes that Condie would recapture in Reached what I loved so much about Matched, but this last installment in the trilogy was a little lackluster for me.
