2.5 stars -- probably would've been a bit higher but the audiobook was horrendous. The Bree narrator was constantly breathy (which might've been her state of mind but got really annoying after a while--I did not have this issue with the other books and it was the same narrator) and the other narrators did not really match the tone of the other narrators. It also seemed really strange the POVs that were chosen to add on. I could understand Nick, but the others seemed really random.

This is a dull, moralistic, tediously lecturing slog. Almost entirely exposition and very little real plot. Even worse, I was led to believe this would be the last book in a trilogy; instead, it's at least a quartet. Disappointing as the series started out with a lot of promise. ...more
