I expected more stories. I was surprised that although there were few, there were a couple that were basically the same (as with Tom Thumb). I didn't like most of the characters. And I honestly prefer the retellings offered by other authors because there is more depth and breadth to the stories and the characters.

I love this book. as a big fan of fairy tales I was delighted to get this book as a gift. I pick it up often to read my favorite tales and the ink artwork is amazing.

Classic Fairytales I remember reading these in college and being shocked at how dark they were. Definitely worth reading.
