Wiedziałam, że ta książka mi się spodoba, ale NIE SĄDZIŁAM, ŻE AŻ TAK! <3

Po pierwsze: konwencja.
Mogłabym godzinami rozpisywać się o tym, jak autor wystrychnął mnie na dudka, ale chyba wystarczy, że powiem: nie domyśliłabym się, choć przesłanek było wiele.

Po drugie: humor.
Cały urok tej historii polega na humorze autora, który raz za razem puszcza oczko do czytelnika, używając tylu nawiązań do klasycznych i dobrze wszystkim znanych historii i schematów, że (prawdopodobnie) nie ma osoby, która n ...more

I'm not sure why I'm just not crazy about this story, in book form or the movie. I came, I read, I am not impressed.

Edit: I've watched the movie a few more times and it's growing on me. I might have to give the book another shot. ...more

I think this is a case of my liking the movie more. I've seen it a bunch of times, it's a classic. It was hard to read the book without seeing Cary Elwes, Robin Wright, Mandy Patinkin, and Andre the Giant running through my head. Not a bad book by any means, just didn't hold the same magic that the movie did. ...more
