Took me a while to really get into the book but then I wanted to read more every chance I had. The characters were well developed and the background characters and scenery were wonderfully told. I didn't particularly like the lead female character in the early part of the book but the more I read, the more I liked Judith and could understand why she behaved the way she did. Willy is the boy left behind, a summer love, a good man. I cheered for him throughout. The ending? Caught me off guard but ...more

I loved Part 1 of this book, but I found the final two parts boring and unbelievable. After reading the reviews on this website for this novel, I was disappointed.
