I heard mentioned on NPR this morning that it is the anniversary of the beginning of the London Blitz, and it meant so much more to me since I had just finished reading this book that is centered around that time and event.
I loved the way this book was written. So emotionally layered and creating an atmosphere of war and the surreal sense of that time. The characters were realistically drawn, likable and relatable.
