so this is the second book i have read by this author. both were chosen by book clubs. both were kind of long and held my interest most of the time, but both seemed to drag a little at times. though this book also dealt with a lot of darkness and family drama, it wasn't as gritty as the other one so i think i liked it better for that reason. i would classify it as a police procedural mystery with a lot of secrets, deceitful actions, and family drama. what is creepy is supposedly the same thing a

I would have given this one 3 1/2 stars just because I was about halfway through before it got good. Ending was good, plot finally got good, I would say there are too many characters to keep track of. is also a negative, but it was a good enough storyline.
