this book was a book club pick and explores a lot of different issues dealing with identity and trying to find a way to fit in but also be yourself. the twins struggle with both racism and identifying as individuals, as well as still being twins. one of them makes a decision to be someone totally different from who she was growing up, which changes her life forever, to the point that she feels she cannot go back even when she tries to. the other sister definitely resents her for it for quite a w

This book would jump from not wanting to put it down to dragging myself through it. It was an entertaining read with n interesting story line and I would have given it more stars but found the ending to be predictable, abrupt and disappointing.
