this is my first read by this author, but when i first starting reading it seemed a little too familiar and i said oh, yet ANOTHER book about an unreliable female narrator main character. it kind of reminded me of the girl on the train and the woman in cabin 10 and i was trying not to make comparisons immediately and just read this story.

I guess I'm in the minority here, I found this book as a whole disappointing, I will say this is relating to the first 2/3 of the book. I found the main character Anna Fox hard to like, it was so monotonous reading over and over how many bottles of wine she had consumed each day, how many pills she took along with it, I guess I'm just sick of the main female character in these types of books being a weak alcoholic, mentally fragile and lacking totally in self assurance (Girl on a Train).
