"The genius of apartheid was convincing people who were the overwhelming majority to turn on each other."
I'm not overly sure how I feel about this one. In ways, it was good; in others, not so much. The writing was decent and down to earth. I appreciated how the chapters were relatively short. They were prefaced with information about South Africa, followed by an anecdote that pertained to said info. This is a memoir and was a book club pick. I know some of Trevor Noah's story since he often talked about some of his life on the talkshow he used to have which I sometimes watched. Usually I enjoyed his sense of humor so I guess I figured his book would read similar to some of his monologues but it didn't feel that way at all.
