Enjoyable first book in a series!! I enjoy this author and was happy when I saw a new book by her. This one is about a bookstore owner(ish) and how she finds a rare magazine in her store. When trying to return it, they find the owner dead in her hotel room. Thus begins her (and her crews) investigation into finding the killer. There were some laughs along the way and some surprises as well. I really enjoyed it and can't wait for the next one!!

Elementary, She Read by Vicki Delany is the first book in a new cozy series. It has all the elements of a good cozy: a likeable protagonist, a fun and quirky best friend, pets, a handsome member of law enforcement, a rival love interest, and, of course, a murder to solve. Our main character, Gemma Doyle, runs a Sherlock Holmes-themed bookshop.
