"Not a Creature Was Purring" by Krista Davis is an excellent addition to the Paws & Claws Mystery series! As always, the characters are well-drawn and believable; this is especially evident in this book due to the number of new characters/guests at the inn. Had they not all been incredibly distinctive, it could have been tricky keeping everyone straight. Such a good, quick read! I really enjoyed the Christmas setting and the events around it. This story brought a bunch of different characters to town with hometown boy Holmes returning home to introduce his fiance to his family and friends. I was sad when the person who was killed died. I really liked that character and was hoping it would be someone else killed. The murderer was actually a hard one to guess for me. I kept going back and forth of who I thought it would be.
