I have some fond memories of this book. I first read it before the movie came out (2007-ish) because my friend told me about it. This was the book that started my addiction to fantasy. I've read this book 5+ times, and it still doesn't get boring. Chrisopher Paolini has managed to create a perfect book. Unfortunately, the others aren't as good as this one. Even so, the saga is still worth reading.

This book was more like a 3.5 stars, rather than 4 for me. I hate that the book was so predictable. Especially when Eragon was told of his future and he kept thinking that Roran was the one who was going to die, but obviously it was Brom. I'm hoping to see more of Arya and Eragon in the next book . :)
