for a book series that has been as loved and hyped as this one, i must say i was a little disappointed. while marked as a dystopian this book fell more into the apocalyptic category with the ridiculous decisions being made by "the government" driven by fear, desperation and self preservation rather than the extreme side of believable thought. this led to there being practically no characters left who were able to be trusted throughout the book which may lead to a more suspenseful story but it is ...more

This has been one of the most emotional book series I have ever read. The constant betrayal between Teresa and Thomas was overwhelming and it made me VERY emotional. Also, I love Thomas. He has been probably one of my favorite protagonists I've ever read. He was real, he had a lot of emotions (although he did repeat himself a lot), he was brave, understanding, cute, and was a great leader.
