Mockingjay by Suzanne Collins

For the last time, at least with this trilogy, I almost didn’t read this book because everyone was reading it. New York Times best sellers most often don’t make my cut. The dystopian world featured in the first and second book finds itself under attack by a mythical adversary and a Hunger Games Victor rallying cry.

First off, I'd like to say Mockingjay had so much potential. I had been looking forward to it for, not too long (I started the series a little late) but I still was spending all my time thinking about the upcoming events. I've read this book twice. The second time was a few days ago, so it's still fresh in my mind.
The first time I read it, I HATED it. Once I was done, I literally threw it down in disgust. The normally strong and independent Katniss had been turned into a weak, lovesick person. Peeta was nothing like his original self, and his continuous attempted betrayals became old. Gale and Katniss's relationship was completely ruined, and Haymitch hardly appeared.
Also, Suzanne Collins began needlessly killing

1. The Hunger Games - 5 stars
2. Mockingjay - 2.5 stars
3. Catching Fire - 2 stars

YOU GOT THAT RIGHT, KANTKISS NEVERCLEAN. YOU SHOULD BE DEAD...SINCE THE END OF THE HUNGER GAMES.

Let's just say that I wasn't happy with the ending, (view spoiler), and the epilogue. Over all, the book was "MEH". I liked it more than Catching Fire, yep. Yeah, the romance was definitely unnecessary. Horrible romance in this series. NO ES NESESARIO! Frea
