It seemed like everyone was reading this, so I refused. So glad I finally picked it up. Not only is it an amazingly wrought story of a woman whose cancer cells have saved thousands of lives, it is a story about informed consent, race, poverty, law and how they all played a role in 20th century genetics. The author has such a gift for explaining difficult scientific subjects.
