Bostrom presents a competent synthesis of the (2014) state-of-the-art in AI risk theory. He covers all the major bases, from the danger that unfriendly AI poses to humanity to Hanson's EM multipolar scenarios, to Yudkowsky's CEV proposition. This is an excellent book that shows some - not all - potential dangers arising from the increasing intelligence of minds. It explores the possibility of more intelligent humans, more intelligent systems of humans, very intelligent AIs, and what will be the likely dangers stemming from each.
