I almost immediately felt an objection upon reading this book. Even as a minority, I identified largely as a Dreamer, someone who saw hope for the future, even while seeing the continuing streams of injustice revealed through our screens on a daily. Much like the Rodney King debacle, I don't think at the time this type of violence was increasing, it was simply being revealed, (though this may not be true now with the rise of Trump.) You must know your enemy in order to defeat him.
