The personal notes and anecdotes make this a lot less dry of a read than similar books dealing with the same subject matter, without sacrificing historical accuracy. While the author omits some events, I actually thought he was fairly open about how certain actions by Palestinian actors led to a more pro-Zionist attitude internationally, specifically during the Second Intifada, after Israel's actions during the Siege of Beirut and the First Intifada before led to more international criticism and ...more
