My major criticism is the scenarios produced are perhaps too idealistic, and do not adequately confront common criticisms like capital flight, particularly in a global economy. Further, it does not effectively push the links between capitalism and the exploitation of minorities, women, and ultimately the rest of the working class.

Part I is a history of socialism and took some work to get through. There are a lot of factions that are all interrelated, which makes it somewhat complicated and difficult to follow.
Part II is about what has happened since 2000 and the possibilities for the future. A much easier read and very hopeful.

Very concise book on the history of socialism and now that I’m at work I’ll be lisitining to a lot of socialist literature so if anyone actually pays attention to my account hi and you’ll be seeing a lot of that.
