From the perspective of somebody who's worked in the realm of data science already I didn't find it particularly valuable. However, the way that the author writes about the underlying concepts of statistics and probability without mentioning them outright I find quite nice. Because the maths involved scare most folks off, and I felt he did a good of bringing down the subject matter without being condescending about it.
