This was one of my best books I ever read!The genera of this book was sci fi and is about a girl name Katniss Everdeen that volunteers for the seventy-fifth annual hunger games instead of her twelve year sister Primrose Everdeen. By going through the the whole hunger game expierence she finally wins with her new lover, Peeta Mellark. I loved the story concept because it was filled with adventure . This book was an O.k book to me. The story could have been a little more predictable, because to me, the story was basically:
1) 12 districts at the mercy of a big powerful capital
2) Pesant girl has to fight for her life with boy she never interacted with
3) Goes to big city and act all adorable for rich people but really are preparing to kill
4) People die in big fight over tents, wire, matches, and food
5) Pesant girl runs from big scary people with weapons, and boy she never interacted with helps ...more

This book's genre is dystopian fiction. This book is based in the future United States now named Panem. 'The Capitol' is in control of Panem. The whole area is split into 13 districts (13 got blown off the map... supposedly). The main character, Katniss Everdeen lives in district 12(the smallest and poorest district) and her sister Primrose just got picked to Fight to the death in the Hunger Games.(I won't give away anymore). This book is one of the best books I ever read! It is so amazing.
I think many people have read this book, liked it, and I like it too. Usually I don't really care about these kind of books, but every page got me hooked. Overall I liked the book and I hope I will get to read the next one.
