I read this story on FictionPress after it was recommended to me as I liked the Gladiator's Master and Sovereign's Gladiator. At first, I wasn't sure if it had the dynamics I wished for so I did like I tend to do and skim through the story. I had to skim through 3/4 of it and I was hooked. I don't mind spoilers but had I known about the dynamics before, I would have read it slowly instead of having to reread it from the beginning.

In going back over to read the beginning of this story, I quickly realized this is actually one I read a while ago. How long ago, I cannot be entirely sure. Sometime last year? The year before? The year before that? Long ago enough that I only vaguely remember the events of this story, and certainly not any of the important plot-worthy points.
