This book left me scratching my head somewhat after I'd gotten to the end, because, really, nothing seems resolved at first. But when I spent sometime thinking about it, I realized that actually Zhang had come a really long way on the road self acceptance and that that story arc was subtly resolved. Now, I do feel like I've been left hanging somewhat with some of the arcs of the other POVs. I can somewhat fill in those holes with extrapolation, but it still feels somewhat sloppy.
