Charming. Beguiling.Captivating.

Another ending to one of my favorite trilogies. I can't contemplate the idea of saying goodbye to such a well-loved series. I have a lot of feelings. I felt excited and then miserable.

In my opinion, this series is one of the best YA Paranormal novels I've ever read. It catched my attention and though imperfect, the most important was the fact that I enjoyed reading it.

This has been a series I've thought a lot about, and it's a little sad that it has come to an end. I have grown so fond of Clara, Christian, Jeffrey, and even Angela and Tucker in a way. If I'm not wrong, this is the first series about angels that I've finished.

The book begins with Clara beginning Stanford Uni ... far from Tucker. And this is something I liked but disliked at the same time. Not just that Clara went to college, but we got to see little of Tucker. The bo Actual rating: 3.75 stars.

This has been a series I've thought a lot about, and it's a little sad that it has come to an end. I have grown so fond of Clara, Christian, Jeffrey, and even Angela and Tucker in a way. If I'm not wrong, this is the first series about angels that I've finished.

The book begins with Clara beginning Stanford Uni ... far from Tucker. And this is something I liked but disliked at the same time. Not just that Clara went to college, but we got to see little of Tucker. The book did not give room for any character development on his part, which is something I always appreciate in the last book of a series. He hasn't been my favorite character in the series, but in Boundless, we only got short scenes with him which wasn't too great and such a shame for all the Tucker lovers out there.

I think the whole thing with the "purpose" wasn't so bad, in a way. God gives them "tasks" and this could be anything from rescuing the people they love, deliver messages and more, but they have also the power to decide their own destiny. Boundless was religious in so many ways than the previous books were, if I'm not wrong. I know many do not like it when books get too religious, but I am the type of person that likes it if it is written in the right way, which I clearly thought that it was!

There is so much I want to say about the book, but I feel I don't know where to begin. I'll start with the characters. Clara was so frustrating, I honestly was so close to start hating her. The love triangle just got out of control and I started getting irritated whenever the two boys were mentioned in her context. Tucker was okay I guess, although I've never really felt any very strong connection to him. Angela ... So, what can I really say about you? ("The seventh is ours.") I liked that, it felt so powerful in so many way. But her story in the book clearly took an unexpected twist. And then there's Jeffrey who was sad and lost which was making him tough and rebellious. But I understand him too. Lately, I have noticed that I have to try to sympathize with characters who behave stupidly and give them a chance. And I'm glad I did. Jeffrey is a true gem.

I'm starting to feel a little sad as I'm writing this. Or rather, very sad. I will miss them. Yes. I also love Clara's father, which I have not mentioned yet. And Samjeeza. But it's weird because I didn't have so strong sympathy for him before Boundless, but now.. poor thing.

Boundless was not the perfect final book in a series. I'm not sure, but I believe that Hallowed is still my favourite book in the series. Boundless was still a good book. And the epilogue. It was extremely cheesy and on top of all of that, I've never been a big fan of Tucker so I didn't feel anything but indifference when I read it.

I was hoping to get some more answers. For example (spoiler from the first book): Why was Jeffrey's purpose in the first book to start a forest fire? Has it been answered? Was it just me who missed something?

Before I forget, I must mention that my favorite chapter in the book was chapter 18. (view spoiler)

So there. It feels like I've got so much more to say, but this is already getting too long. It just feels like I can't believe the series is actually over, haha. But Unearthly is a great series! I seriously recommend it, although I had some small problems with Boundless because of how it was dragging to begin with, the love triangle and Tucker.. We have finally reached the finale of Cynthia Hand's Unearthly Series.

This book is kinda unusual for me. I guess I'm not exactly keen on what happens in the book. Unfortunately.

But what really gets me is the whole Tucker and Christian thing. I think - I THINK - I've had it with love triangles. They used to be so sad and heart breaking, but this must have been, like, my 20th novel (vague approximation) that revolves around a love triangle. Oh, and I've read about love-squares, too. But what really gets me is the whole Tucker and Christian thing. I think - I THINK - I've had it with love triangles. But I think this novel almost put me on the verge of explosion about love triangles. Hey, I've got nothing with seriously heart breaking love triangles, but in this particular novel... it just goes too far. Why? Well, let's see... that ending. (view spoiler). And (view spoiler). Why can't teenage girls in novels be, I don't know, more considerate about the boys in their lives? And (view spoiler) It's sad really.

Other than that. I found the whole Samjeeza part of the story intriguing. We got to really know about his character and his story is just... unfortunate, I guess. Cynthia Hand's ideas about angles she creates in this series are very unique and quite unforgettable. It's definitely a new take on angels. I've forgotten about all the other tid-bit things I enjoyed about this novel. It's a shame really, because I found this series quite interesting.

There were a couple things and events that shocked me (view spoiler) - I honestly did not expect them, and admittedly, I felt that it didn't quite fit nicely into the storyline. Sure, they were dramatic, but they didn't quite do it for me.

I think I'm starting to really get tired about the whole angel aspect of the paranormal genre. Sigh.
