Jill Dobbe painted a sincere and honest picture of what it's like to live and work in an Islamic society. Her descriptions and details made me feel as though I was also there. Her perceptions of life in Cairo were interesting without getting into too much detail and/or anything political. This is a book that relates what it is like to move across the world to a totally new culture, and make it work by being open to different ways of life.
