I'm in shock, I'm in awe, I am dumbfounded, and I am in love with this series. Forsaken was just a preamble. It was a grain of sand, maybe even a little itty bitty baby sea turtle that you followed behind ever so slowly to this massive ocean called Awaken. I cannot gush any more. I can't breathe after that ending, and holy crap thank goodness Chosen will be released in a few months. I will be going crazy until then! Thank you Kristen Day for conjuring up such a magnificent story with such epic d ...more

Note: I received a free copy of this book from the author for a honest review.

Judge-a-book-by-its-title Me: Awaken? Just plain old Awaken? Yawn.... doesn't sound too interesting. But the blurb is amazing. I am willing to try it out. Kinda.

If the first book had me intrigued, the second one has me hooked!

I found myself on the edge of my seat for every twist and turn of this book (and there are a lot!). It is anything but predictable. Stasia finds out about more of her abilities and what is needed for her to complete her journey to the Underworld and back unscathed, not to mention Finn’s big secret! With the presence of Nadia, a new arrival from California who already seems to hate her, and the unexpected run-ins with bloo
