To begin, I didn't like the first two in this trilogy and I was pretty certain I wouldn't like this one. I purchased all three because I had found out Manning Norvil was a pen name for Kenneth Bulmer and I have enjoyed his books previously. With old out of print books like this you either strike gold or manure; in this case it's mostly manure. Before even reading the book, in text almost as large as the title you have this message: 'Heroic fantasy in the grand Conan tradition!' What exactly is t ...more
