"In the tradition of Conan" the cover says but doesn't really mean, leading one to wonder if any rank newcomer to the genre looked at those words and said "oh in that case I'll check out this Conan instead, who seems to be a tradition that all these other guys follow".

2 and a half stars. Heroic fantasy. Pretty standard. But I thought it was a fairly enjoyable read.
