Writer Clark Ashton Smith was what was considered to be one of the “Holy Trinity” of weird fiction writers, which also included sword and sorcery godfather Robert E. Howard and cosmic horror progenitor H.P. Lovecraft. Smith wrote largely stories of fantasy, science fiction, and horror, as both Lovecraft and Howard did in their own right, but he pumped out so much more than the other two.
